Therapy with me blends science-backed techniques with real human connection. I earned my master’s in counseling from George Fox University, and I have spent nearly three decades walking beside adults, couples, and families wrestling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and the ripple effects of addiction. I’ve seen how a loved one’s substance use can fracture an entire household—and how clear communication, nervous-system regulation, and practical skills can knit it back together. Whether you’re losing sleep to racing thoughts or tip-toeing around unresolved conflict, our work will pair proven methods with the kind of steady partnership that makes lasting change possible.
Why I became a therapist
I spent the first decade of my adult life under relentless pressure, convinced I had to hold everything together alone. Then I felt a breath so free my shoulders dropped and my mind went quiet—and I knew I wanted to help others find that same steady ease of peace. Counseling lets me do exactly that, one honest conversation at a time.
My approach & what sessions feel like
I believe it's the relationship... not just the techniques that creates the pathway to healing. My role isn't to fix or judge you, but to walk alongside you with steadiness, curiosity, and compassion. I help you slow down, listen inward, and begin to untangle patterns shaped by pain, protection, or survival.
Sessions with me are rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Attachment Theory, filtered through a trauma-informed lens that respects the nervous system’s need for safety. Expect laughter, honest reflection, and practical experiments you can try the very same day. We’ll track what works, leave what doesn’t, and keep the process transparent so you always know why we’re doing what we’re doing.
